Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions form part of your booking contract with us – you should read them carefully. Please ensure you are happy to book under these conditions before making a booking.

If Scottish or UK Government guidance to limit the spread and impact of COVID-19 or similar viruses requires the cancellation of bookings with us or the closure of Gairloch Holiday Park for the period in which your holiday is booked, we will fully refund the amount paid less the non-refundable £0.50 booking fee.

If you cancel your booking during a period when Government guidance on responding to COVID-19 or similar viruses requires you or a member of your party to self-isolate, we will offer to re-book for another time, a credit note with us, or a refund of your booking less the £0.50 booking fee. This only applies when such Government guidance is in force and applicable: in other circumstances bookings are not refundable (see below).

Bookings and Payments

Full payment in advance is required with all bookings. Once a booking has been made, should you subsequently cancel your holiday monies paid will only be refunded or transferred to another booking at our absolute discretion. Refunds will not be given for any changes made to your booking once your booking has been made.

It is your responsibility to check that the details of your booking confirmation are correct and to notify us immediately of any discrepancies. We cannot accept responsibility for any errors not corrected prior to arrival.

We only accept bookings from customers over the age of 18.

For touring pitches and self catering accommodation (cottage and static caravans), specific units are allocated at the time of booking; however, we reserve the right to re-allocate pitches if required. Camping pitches are allocated on arrival. You are not guaranteed units next to another party, although we will try and accommodate any request to do this.

The confirmation of the booking by payment of the full amount constitutes a contract between both parties. The person in whose name the booking is made is fully responsible for the booking, the payment of the amount due, and the members of the booked party while at Gairloch Holiday Park.

If you have family/friends locally who would like to visit you during your stay at Gairloch Holiday Park, we ask all such visitors to sign in at reception prior to entering the site. If visitors are planning to stay overnight by joining you in your booked accommodation or pitch, payment will be taken in accordance with the seasonal priced tariff.

No visitors can exceed the maximum number of guests per accommodation type and the lead guest on the booking will be held responsible for any breach of these terms.

Pitches and any accommodation not claimed or checked in at reception within 24 hours of the booked period will be re-let unless you have contacted us beforehand with regard to this.

Gairloch Holiday Park does not knowingly accept bookings from or allow anyone to stay within the booking party who has previously been or currently listed on the Violent or Sexual Offenders Register or anyone subject to a sexual risk order, child abduction notice or anything similar. By making a booking you are confirming that no one in your party is included in any of the above and if proven otherwise your booking will be cancelled with immediate effect.

Casual and last minute bookings

All bookings made by internet or by telephone must be paid for at time of booking using a credit/debit card registered to the account holder’s address. Bookings made on the day of arrival must be paid for fully at time of booking by credit/debit card or cash. We do not hold pitches while waiting for payment.

We strongly recommend all guests purchase holiday insurance in advance of booking.

If you cancel your booking:

  • If for any reason you are unable to attend your holiday at Gairloch Holiday Park, please contact us as soon as possible. As per the booking conditions, the booking is non-refundable unless we decide at our entire discretion to issue a refund.

If we cancel your booking:

  • In exceptional circumstances, it may become necessary for us to cancel your booking. In the unlikely event of this arising, we will inform you as soon as possible. If your booking is cancelled by us due to circumstances beyond our control (Force Majeure) we may be unable to refund any monies paid.

We try to keep all Gairloch Holiday Park website content up to date and accurate, but we cannot be held responsible for any errors.

All booking information is strictly confidential and under no circumstances will be given to a third party.
